Sump Gasket

Noticed a little shiny moisture above the gasket line so it was decided it should be done.

So pulled the sump off and had a very strange surprise waiting for me. Strange things hanging out of the oil pick-up.
This was what was pulled out of it. Good to see it doing its job.

So lets pre the sump because it looks a little nasty.
That just wouldn't do, so out with the wire brush again....
Much better!
Time for block cleaning.

 All back together
Then finiehed of with a little satin black to finish the job.

time for some cosmetics

old one was fine but while everything else is being tarted up why not the grille.
Was meant to be a sprae but hey new mirror
Replacement Genuine Rover/MG LHD Headlamps fitted.

 Daylight running light fitment.

Started the polybushes on freshly  powder coated parts.
old vs new Anti role bar with polybushes fitted and powder coated hangers and bush holders.

Was hoping not to need to change the main bushes but they were shot.

This meant we needed the trailing arms off, which meant disassembly of the abs system, calipers and the remaining bushes that holds the arms on.....fun.

Test fit on the DRL
Wiring fed through the grille
Fuse cable tied into place to make sure its accessable.
 Secured cabling
Fitting of passenger side and running the wires to the live cables.
Cables secured and made to look pretty and more importantly out of site.
Front assembly completed and front subframe, torque steer arms, lower control arms fitted

After finishing the wiring for the DRL we could finally finish the passenger side with its splitter and repairs to the arch lining.
Rear anti-roll bar fixings with poly bushes

First of the wet items hit the car as well.
